DaemonHive (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates the website daemonhive.net (the “Site”) and related services including the DaemonHive Tile system, QR-linked tile pages, and the optional public Map Claim feature (together, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
By using the Site and Services, you agree to this Policy.
1) What we collect
Information you provide
- Account details: name or display name, email, password (hashed), optional profile info.
- Orders & checkout (WooCommerce): billing/shipping name, address, email, phone, order contents, notes.
- Map Claim & tile pages (optional): your chosen tile name, intention text, images you upload, and location settings you choose (precise, approximate, or hidden).
- Support & contact: messages you send us, including email, forms, and social DMs.
- Stories, comments, reviews (optional): any content you post becomes public on the Site once published.
Information collected automatically
- Device & usage: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, time on page, referral URL, general location (city/region), and basic diagnostic data.
- Cookies & similar tech: to keep you logged in, remember cart contents, protect forms (honeypot), and analyze traffic. See “Cookies” below.
- QR scans: when a QR code on a tile is scanned, our server may log standard access data (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for security and analytics.
Payment information
We do not store your full payment card details on our servers. Payments are processed by third-party providers such as [Stripe/PayPal/other], who receive your payment information directly. Their use of your data is governed by their own privacy policies.
2) How we use your information
- To provide, secure, and improve the Site and Services.
- To fulfill orders, deliver products, and manage returns/warranties.
- To create and maintain your account and tile pages.

- To personalize your experience and measure performance (analytics).

3) Map Claim privacy
The Map Claim feature is optional. You control visibility:
- Precise: shows your chosen location pin.
- Approximate: shows a broader area or city-level pin.
- Hidden: no map pin; your tile page remains viewable via QR or direct link.
You can edit or remove a claim later. Removing a claim may not instantly clear cached or archived copies outside our control.
4) Sharing of information
We share information only as needed to run DaemonHive:
- Vendors and service providers: e.g., web hosting, content delivery, email service, customer support, analytics, payment processors, shipping carriers.
- Security and legal: to investigate or prevent fraud/abuse, comply with law, or protect our rights, users, or the public.
